The Pakistanis are making it clear they support Turkey and support Turkish aggression in Cyprus. Greece has been very hospitable to Pakistani and other immigrants who have chosen to enter Greece illegally. Greece has shown good will and understanding to Pakistan in light of the fact that Athens has accepted their citizens.
Greece should begin the process of breaking diplomatic ties with Pakistan. Pakistan is now actively supporting Turkey as can be seen by statements of Pakistani officials in the article linked above. It also appears that China may be moving close to Turkey.
Turkey and China have much in common. They are criminal regimes guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity in the previous century. Turkey has been the recipient of American aid and assistance despite its genocidal history. China likewise today is the beneficiary of western hypocrisy whose scientists have bestowed aid on China despite massive human rights violations by the Chinese Communist Party.
The Erdogan regime claims the islands of Greece. That same regime ignores the soft genocide of Ughyur Muslims in China who are confined to concentration camps. Murderous regimes generally support one another.
All hope is not lost. Greece has friends in the Muslim world. Greece has friendly relations with Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and with Saudi Arabia. The Ecumenical Patriarchate has been engaging in destructive behavior over the past four years.
One of the few bright signs is the Patriarchate received a visit from a former Iranian President. Greeks have traditionally had friendly relations with Iran. It is important for Greeks to maintain these close ties with Muslim countries. Greece does not have any conflicts with Islam, but with Turkey.
Greek Orthodox Archbishops Serapheim and Christodoulos of Athens had established friendly relations and discussions with Iranian leaders in the past. More crucially, Iran is an ally of Russia and Syria. It would be to the interests of Greece to maintain friendly relations with Iran, Russia, and Syria.
Greek interests are based on resisting Turkish aggression. Relationships with all states should be based on their stances toward Greece’s interests in Cyprus and the Aegean. Russia in particular has reemphasized its support for Cyprus.
Greece needs to define its list of enemies and allies very carefully.
